If you purchase a new copy of the Baermann Third Division Op. 63, make sure you are getting the actual Carl Fischer published edition. Alternatively, as this work is in the public domain, you can download it in high-quality PDF format directly from the Los Angeles Clarinet Institute. I have been teaching clarinet students for nearly twenty years, and the Baermann Third Division is part of the core material for the training of any clarinetist.The copy currently being sold by Nabu Press is a very poor reproduction where staff lines and notes are blurry, and everything has been shrunk down to about 75% of the original size, further reducing the readability. Now it appears there are more crooks are trying to sell awful copies-of-copies (mainly from public library editions, with all of their index/catalog markings intact) AND they have the audacity to write "copyrighted material" all over their "edition." AVOID THESE SCAMMERS LIKE THE PLAGUE!

A great scale book that is a little outdated, but nonetheless presents all the scales in a very clear and organized manner. The only problem is the price, which is a little high for a book of scale studies for me. However, this book is the perfect warm up tool for any practice session.

The third volume of the Baermann Method is perfect for daily warm-up and scale practice. This book covers all of the major and minor keys in all three registers. Studies include broken chords, interrupted scale patterns, the chromatic scale, and interval studies, most with tonguing variations.Unlike the combined edition of the first and second divisions, this division has a saddle stitch binding so that it lays flat on your music stand.

This book has become one of the standard tools for clarinetists for good reason. Great for learning basic techniques, and also as a warm-up for more experienced musicians.

The pages are clear enough but the size is too small. I should have looked at the overall size and compared options more carefully before purchasing.

A tough workbook but excellent.

We bought this guide, along with a few others for a recent rip to Italy. Looking back on the trip, we used this one extensively while in Umbria so I'd have to say it was very useful. Coverage on what to see and do in various cities and small towns was excellent. Coverage on where to stay and what to eat was minimal, though. Overall, a useful focused guide for this beautiful region of Italy.

We had a house rented in Umbria and seven days to fill. This was the right book. The book had lists, which I liked. As in "Umbria's top 10 things to see" and we knocked off nine of them. You can only look at so many frescoes and I liked the anecdotes on the history of inter-town strifes. The only improvement I might make was more detailed road maps. We had a car with a GPS but I didn't figure out how to work it until the end. You can make a lot of wrong turns in Umbria, even though I like the rotary system.The best praise I can give is that I would look for the Cadogan book on any next area we go to.

This guide provides a nice overview of many cities and towns in Umbria. It is well written, but does not provide maps or images. I see it as a secondary guide. It was helpful during our recent 2 week trip in Umbria, but we only used it occasionally.

Excellent book...we are guiding a cycling trip in Umbria next summer and this book is so informative...a great resource.

As usual, this book was too short! I love how it all comes together! I'm never been disappointed in anything Jamaila Brinkley writes!

The portrait isn't the only problem in this novella in the series supposedly taken from Anastasia Galipp’s files. Wedding planning takes on a whole other, and often hilarious, dimension when both Anastasia's mother and Simon's mother show up, and it becomes a double wedding with Simon’s sister, Juliet, as the other bride. Intrigue is added to the mix when Juliet feels faint after sitting briefly for a sketch for a possible wedding portrait.Will the double wedding go off without a hitch? How does Anastasia feel about the co-opting of her wedding by their mothers? What is causing this portrait fatigue amongst certain young brides?I found this novella to be a quick, fun read. The author was able to maintain an irreverent, dry humor throughout.I received a free review copy of this book, but this did not affect my review.

The Portrait Problem: From the Files of Miss Anastasia Galipp by Jamaila Brinkley is a wonderful story that I have read. This is book number two in this wonderful series that I love reading. I highly recommend this story to everyone who likes reading abotu magic as much as I do.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

What a fun installment of the series, the relationship Anastasia and her mother have is so real and timeless, relatable in any decade.
