Anyone who is serious about trivia, DO NOT BUY this book. Anyone who is serious about obtaining correct information, DO NOT BUY this book. We fact-checked many of the answers and they were WRONG. How can you write a trivia book and not even bother to check if the answers are correct or not??? We bought this book to help our children compete in their high school Academic League. After playing for about an hour, they immediately knew some of the answers were wrong. We decided to toss it in the trash because we just didn't know which answers were factually correct and which were not.

I was disturbed by the sloppiness in the book. Did the author not hear of proof reading? It h s had spelling errors, and even worse- some the trivia questions did not have the answer. I would not trust this for answers other than the answers I know to be true. I do not trust the book because I wonder if that sloppiness was carried over to the research. If so, can anyone really trust that all the answers are correct - that several may be wrong, either by poor research or poor typing (note the missing answers). Good proofreading would have made this book good and trustworthy.

I really enjoyed the trivia information itself, however I wished the author formatted the trivia and answers in a different way.The book contains trivia questions immediately followed by the answer. Many times the answer is on the same line as the question, so even if when tried covering the answer to test my own knowledge it was be difficult to prevent myself seeing the answer. I wish the author organized the book in a way that the answer was separated from the question, at minimum by a blank line if not a separate page.The book is organized by topic: history, inventions, math, television, zoo, music, movies, sports, literature, geography, presidents, body, who said it, acronyms, alto egos, mythology.Ali Julia review

During the first 20 pages I found three glaring factual errors. These errors concerned topics of which I am certain. This made me wonder how many other mistakes--about things unfamiliar to me--I have read in this book. The entire book is now suspect, in my opinion.What were the mistakes I found? 1. Roman numeral CCXIV is 214, not 109. 2. Internal angles of a hexagon cannot exceed 360. 3. "The Big Dipper" is not the name of a single star. It is another name for Ursa Major.

There's some good trivia in this book, but the format is horrible... check out American Trivia by J. Stephen Lang... that's how you should format a trivia book. Where the answer is hidden in a footnote (After each trivia question, the word "Answer" appears in blue letters, and when you touch it, the answer pops up in a footnote). If you reformat it this way I will give it 5 stars.

The accuracy of answers leaves much to be desired. There are many, many, many (have I said many yet?) answers that are just flat out wrong. Now, the way the author has organized the questions by category is pretty cool, but, there are just too many answers that don't fly int he face of the facts. Author really needs to clean this up.

Trivia topics broken down by category, a great mix of questions and topics. Perfect for facilitating group games/trivia nights. Up to date as of 2016 I believe so pretty relevant other than some sports questions I.e. super bowl winners

There were some duplicate questions and some poorly worded questions.

Average introduction to Latin American Spanish but could have been better. It focuses on travel needs like booking a hotel room, ordering food in a restaurant, shopping etc. rather than conversational Spanish. It does provide an OK but not perfect introduction to basic Spanish with an emphasis on Latin American usage and pronunciation; it does not take you to an intermediate level as claimed. The recordings could have been a lot richer and longer. There is a lot of English on the recordings and they do not have the traditional pause for you to repeat the phrase that you will see with other language learning audio methods. I would supplement this book with other materials such as the Assimil Spanish with Ease SUPERPACK [ Book + 4 audio CDs + 1 CD mp3 ] (Spanish Edition),Madrigal's Magic Key to Spanish: A Creative and Proven Approach, and Easy Spanish Step-By-Step in addition to use of the language at every opportunity you find, if you are in fact aiming for an intermediate command of the language. Audio methods (only) that can be used include Total Spanish with the Michel Thomas Method (and Michel Thomas' more advanced recordings) or Spanish Comprehensive Plus Bundle Lessons 1-100 (Pimsleur Latin American Spanish Series Levels 1,2,3, 4, Volume 1, 2, 3, 4). Ultimately you should try to read or hear native materials whether books, TV or music if you are aiming for a decent command of the language.

Did not come with the advertised 2 audio CD's; instead you are referred to a website that is hidden on the back cover of the book in the corner. wanted to use it in the car when traveling. Am planning to return.

This is a pretty good course except it refers to the recorded conversations. I thought i was buying access to them with the book.

It says there two audio cd’s but there is nothing in the package but a book! No cd’s!
