The testing procedure for TOEFL iBT writing part is to read a short passage, to listen to a short lecture, and then to integrate the two materials by writing for the integrated task. To my disappointment, their books don't contain any audio files/CD in their books, only showing the listening script on them--it's no difference between listening and reading!!! For the second language learners, listening is also an important part for the preparation of TOEFL iBT writing part. I have several other editions of TOEFL iBT writing books, all containing audio files/CDs within. I hope they can improve the quality and completeness of their books.

This is good for preparing TOEFL writing test. I studied this book after studying level 1, and I figured out what TOEFL asks me to do. I should have found this book earlier....

Frommer's Ecuador and the Galapagos was exactly as I had come to expect from Frommer's series of guide books. I was on a tour of Ecuador and the Galapagos, I brought this book along with me as well. We visited many places in two weeks and all of it including the hotels we stayed at were mentioned in the book. Considering I was on a tour, I had confidence in the book because other than a night out in Quito, transportation was provided. If traveling independently and using this book, I think I would have difficulty reaching the Amazon Basin as the book didn't really describe how to get out there only that you have to take a boat so I am not sure how one would use public transportation to that point. Frommer's Ecuador was pretty spot on describing sites and attractions but I wish it was a little better at public transportation options for people like me who don't rent cars on holiday. Restaurant suggestions were great! I love the suggest itineraries (which my tour covered). They have always been great guidelines when planning my travels. I travel 90% or the time independently with a friend or solo. I've used Frommer's among other brands of guide books. This book got a better rating than LP and having used this in Ecuador, I would recommend to a friend.

Great guidebook. Very informative

well written, easy to follow, includes information that would otherwise not be available to a non-native of the country. Doesn't give away any real secrets that would only be known by locals, but good basic information, including reliable recommendations.

Amazon's service, as usual, was wonderfully fast. Frommers book is for people who want to do Ecuador on $150 or more dollars a day. None of the reasonably priced hotels or restaurants were included. I won't be taking this book with me on my trip.

What a great guide to Ecuador! We haven't had a chance to go there yet. So, I'll have to re-review upon our return. But, so far, it fits the bill for what we wanted.

This is a great guide if you are planning a trip. Frommer's guides are the best! You will find things easier than searching on the internet for information and tips.

Excellent resource for Quito, the Galapagos Islands, and San Jorge Eco-Lodge. If you are coming from the U.S., make sure you bring small bills - one dollar bills and $5s. Leave the $20.00 bills at home. No one can make change. I have used Frommer's Guides since 1971 and they are always right on the mark. Never leave home without Frommer's!

Have not read it through entirely...but bought it for upcoming trip to Ecuador....great way to start the trip planning...delivered promply and very pleased....

I have purchased both this book and its companion for group therapy. They are approximately 90 percent the same content and I highly recommend you save your money and only purchase one or the other. Additionally, these books are extremely small and consist of workbook pages at the end. The authors ask you to copy and print the handout materials in the books for clinical use, but the page size is smaller than standard 8 1/2 X 11 and has a smaller font! No mention of the handout materials being available through the publisher as clinical text resources often do. I love the research, the premise, and the information but for this amount of money, I expect a book not a pamphlet essentially, and the ability to reasonably print the handouts.

This book was recommended by the therapist at the Cancer Center I have doctored with for 13 years. We are starting a Cancer Care Support Group at our Church and she felt it was an important book for us to have and read.She was right! I expect it will be very much a go to resource as we journey with the patients and caregivers along the way . Recommend highly !
